# Automation

> Hours back from the work a machine should be doing, built into the systems you already run and kept running. Discovery, a fixed-price build, a retainer. Cleveland.

What we do

**Your people get back the hours they spend on work a machine should be doing. Built into your operation and kept running, not a pilot that dies in a slide deck.**

## What it is

Fewer hours retyping, chasing and checking, and fewer mistakes from doing it by hand. We find the work in your operation that a machine should be doing and build the automation that does it, into the systems you already run, with a person in the loop wherever judgment lives. Where AI is the right tool we use it and say so; often plain code is. The ground rules: the model is never on the critical path, every screen still works by hand at full speed, your data stays where you say it stays, and nothing fires silently.

## What we can do

These are the shapes a piece of AI work takes before anyone needs an app.

- **Agents.** An assistant that does one task end to end inside your systems. It reads what it needs, does the work, and hands a person anything that matters before it goes out.
- **Plugins.** A tool added to the assistant your staff already use, so it reaches one of your systems from the window they work in. Nothing new to learn, nothing new to log into.
- **Connectors.** A door from an assistant into one system you run, read only or read and write, as you decide. What it may touch is written down, and the door closes when you say.
- **Skills.** A written procedure an assistant follows the same way every time: your intake, your quote, your month-end check. It lives in a plain file your people can read and change.
- **Deployed AI with a policy.** AI set up inside your company, on your terms, under the written policy our [Policy and training](https://sapiensolutions.com/policy-and-training) line puts in place.

[Send us one thing](https://sapiensolutions.com/read) and the page we send back names the AI piece.

## Who it is for

A company of ten to two hundred people with a process that runs on email, spreadsheets, and someone who knows how. Manufacturers, healthcare offices, professional services, in Cleveland and across Northeast Ohio.

## The first engagement

**Meet.** A first conversation, in person, free, and it commits you to nothing. **Discover.** The first paid step, only when you agree to it: we look at the operation for what to automate first, what it touches, and what it is worth. You get the scope of work, what we found, the spec, and a firm price. **Build.** The first automation, at that price. **Run.** Your choice: a monthly retainer that keeps it working and keeps extending it, or your team takes it over with the documentation. The whole process is on [How we work](https://sapiensolutions.com/how-we-work).

Discovery is $3,500, fixed, credited toward the build. If we stop before the plan is written, you pay nothing. A first build runs $9,500 to $18,000, fixed. Running it is from $3,500 a month, or your team takes it over.

## What we have done

- [Killing a shop-floor exploit with a mirror, not a lockout](https://sapiensolutions.com/work/shop-floor-visibility) A commission scheme gamed through a state-tracking gap, fixed in a day by making the gap visible.
- [A retailer's whole technical estate, rebuilt as one platform](https://sapiensolutions.com/work/retail-platform) An AI assistant layer on a self-hosted model, never on the critical path, inside the platform that runs the business.
- [Giving a service desk AI over the systems it already runs](https://sapiensolutions.com/work/service-desk-ai) Six systems, one question: AI tooling in a service desk's hands, every change approved by a person.
- [A trading idea answered in a day, by a tool the trader trusts](https://sapiensolutions.com/work/trading-research-loop) A trader's research loop, two weeks to a day, trusted against his own platform first.
